Super Me! Three-Day Workshop Experience

Super Me! is a playful, fantastical and empowering dance theatre workshop for kids, aged 4 – 8, that explores the body as an instrument of expression. Using the themes and characters from fairytale and superhero stories, participants will learn dance, theatre and vocal skills to develop their creativity and discover their very own ‘Super Me!’

The children will be supported to access and explore their imaginations through dance, movement, singing, acting, shadow play and use of props.

The workshops will celebrate and nurture individual creativity with a skills-based approach that supports individual self-discovery. They won’t be learning a syllabus or routines. Instead, there will be lots of play, games, and creative prompts to help the children to express themselves authentically – to create and embody their own, unique version of a princess or superhero character.

It’s about encouraging them to look beyond the surface – gain an understanding of what it means to be a multidimensional character, be curious about what makes a princess or superhero admirable, and explore how they can own and use their own unique gifts in the world.
